I had an very nice stay at the Elysium Hotel, celebrating my husband's birthday. I loved the beautiful design of the hotel and the attentive service from the staff. However, the view from our initial room was slightly disappointing, as it overlooked a hedge. Overall, the experience was nice and I can’t wait to return. 🌅🍹

Our upgraded garden villa was stunning with its own pool and garden area. However, I would suggest opting for a room with a better view next time.

My stay at Elysium was a mix of highs and lows. The really good service made an impression, especially from the staff at the Mare Nostrum Pool Bar and the talented sommelier, Yiannis. However, I faced frustrations with room issues and some dining reservations. While the ambiance is stunning, I felt that certain aspects, like the beach area, fell short of expectations.

My room had a lovely view of the beautiful garden, but I was initially given a lesser view upon check-in, which caused a delay. The bathroom was nice, though it could have been a bit roomier for comfort.
Service

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, helping to create a great atmosphere. However, there was inconsistency in service quality in some areas, which left me feeling a bit frustrated at times.
Location

The hotel's location was excellent, close to Paphos attractions and comfortable sun beds, but I did notice that some beach areas were not as well-kept as I had hoped.

Breakfast was a standout, with so many delicious options. Yet, I found it difficult to secure dinner reservations at the a la carte restaurants, which was disappointing.

The spa was a real highlight of my stay, with great treatments available, and the pool areas were designed beautifully. However, I was disappointed with the beach area, which felt unkempt.

Overall, my stay at Elysium was quite good. The staff provided really good service and made me feel welcomed throughout my time there. The dining experience was really good, offering a wide variety of delicious options both at breakfast and dinner. However, I did notice a heavy presence of families, especially near the main pool, which altered the tranquil environment I was seeking.

Rooms

My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, contributing to restful nights. However, I wanted a specific sea-view room which can be tricky to secure through booking sites.
Service

The level of service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff across all areas of the hotel. I appreciated how they followed up when I fell ill, offering assistance and in-room meals to ensure my comfort.
Location

While the scenery was lovely, the hotel's location posed some challenges. It was a bit of a trek to get to local attractions and the harbor, so I'd recommend planning trips carefully, especially during quieter months.
Dining

Dining at Elysium was a highlight. The breakfast buffet was generous, with fresh juices and a variety of options available. The themed dinners were good, with attentive service that enhanced the experience. The engaging atmosphere made me feel like each mealtime was special.
Facilities

The facilities were well-maintained, offering clean pools and access to a spa with high-quality treatments. However, I found the gym equipment slightly lacking for a five-star standard, which could use an upgrade.

My stay at Elysium was a mixed experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my visit. However, I encountered issues with the room quality and overall hotel presentation, which felt outdated and not on par with a five-star rating. The dining options had some highlights, but lacked variety for a luxury experience. 🌟

Rooms

The room was spacious and well-appointed, offering a partial sea view. However, some areas felt tired and in need of renovation, making it feel more like a three-star hotel. 🌊

Location

The hotel is conveniently located, with easy access to local attractions in Paphos, which I appreciated during my stay.
Dining

While breakfast was impressive with a wide variety of options, I found the lunch offerings at the pool bar to be very basic, lacking the expected luxury variety.

The facilities, including the gym and pool area, were good, yet I found the spa to be smaller than expected for a hotel of this caliber.

My stay at Elysium was a mixed bag. While the hotel had some fantastic aspects, like the perfect breakfast and beautiful grounds, my experience was marred by the rocky start with the room selection and front desk service. Once those issues were resolved, I found myself enjoying the friendly atmosphere and really good dining, though the slow pool service was a bit frustrating.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was spacious and well-furnished, but I initially faced a significant disappointment when I was given an inland view room that overlooked a tennis court rather than the garden view I expected. After paying extra, I was finally moved to a better room with a lovely view.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were super friendly and made a serious effort to ensure I felt welcomed, especially the housekeeping and pool attendants. However, the front desk staff was quite unhelpful regarding my room issues, which definitely soured the initial experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel is ideally located near the sea, which added to the overall charm of my stay. Despite some noise from the nearby tennis courts that disrupted my first night, the surroundings ultimately provided a nice balance between relaxation and accessibility to local attractions.
Dining

The breakfast spread was one of the best I’ve experienced, with a great variety and quality. I also enjoyed the themed dinners, which were an absolute treat! However, I did notice slow service at the pool bar, which could be improved.
Facilities
8.0
While the facilities were generally impressive, the bicycles available for rent were in poor condition. I appreciated the well-maintained pools, and the different lounging areas allowed for lots of relaxing nooks around the hotel.
